I am University Lecturer in Comparative Religion at University of Turku, Finland. My teaching areas include ethnography and methodology in the study of religions, as well as psychology of religion.

Previously, I worked as a research fellow and member of the research team in the CoE project "Post-secular Culture and Changing Religious Landscape in Finland" (2010-2014) in Comparative Religion at Åbo Akademi University. My own project on charismatic Christian trends in Finland was funded by the Academy of Finland (2011-2013, project number 138213).

In the study of Pentecostalism, I have been focusing on the accommodation of global Neo-charismatic movements in the relatively secularized culture of Finland. My current research interests are the diversity of religious tradition and social dynamics of agency, prayer and healing. Methodologically, I am specialized in social-psychological and anthropological study of Christianity as well as the qualitative approaches, such as ethnography and narrative studies.
